Other Opportunites to Serve the Music Program

Cantors
Cantors at Our Saviour Lutheran Church assist at most worship services by singing portions of the liturgy. If you are interested in being added to the cantor roster, please contact James Higdon, Director of Music at (913) 236-6228 or organist@oursaviourkc.org. Cantors do not need to be trained singers; however, some ability to read music is helpful.

Worship Team
The Worship Team at Our Saviour Lutheran Church leads congregational singing at the 5:30 p.m. Saturday "casual" worship service. Consisting of various vocalists and instrumentalists (e.g., keyboard, guitar, cello, bass, drums), this ensemble specializes in a wide range of music that is outside the traditional hymnody repertoire. Worship Team members meet at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday to rehearse music for that day's service. Not all Worship Team members serve each Saturday. In general, a vocalist or instrumentalist on the roster can serve as frequently or infrequently as desired.
